Just FYI real lens flares will never be tilted at an angle unless something is wrong with the lens :)

You are correct, but currently the image itself is turned. Also flares can be any shape - which are related with the quality of the lens and the position of incoming light. :)

Oh I misread! Yes if the "captured image" is turned and cropped then it's perfectly fine. My mistake :)

Ohohoho! Not quite, sir! ;D What you have appears to be an animorphic flare, which will produce the streak across the frame. But, even if the camera is held at a 45 degree angle taking the image, the flare will still be horizontal in relation to the camera's frame. This is because the flare is produced between the elements in the lens and the film or sensor, and the elements in the lens that cause flares are always in the same position to the sensor. That means the only way your flare could be tilted is if the image was rotated and cropped after it was taken.

But I digress, it's still a very well done image, kudos to you :P
